An experimental Arthouse short movie with music by Grammy winning and multi-Oscar nominated composer Danny Elfman.
This experimental drama follows a dolls doctor who lost his unborn child and struggles to ‘not think of this tragedy’. It shows what happens when thoughts intrude – even though we are trying our hardest to avoid them.
Dedicated to the creation and restoration of antique and modern robotic dolls, PATRICK takes refuge in work – but even that can’t distract him. Even worse, surrounded by all those artificial creatures, he sees the uncontrollability of nature and his inability all the more.
“Try to pose for yourself this task: not to think of a polar bear, and you will see that the cursed thing will come to mind every minute.”
— Fyodor Dostoevsky (1863)
